Conditions of Hire
- Goods supplied at all times remain the property of: GORGEOUS GOURMETS LTD.
- Full payment to be made before collection/delivery, PLUS deposit. Drivers are NOT allowed to make a delivery until payment is received in full.
- Items returned dirty will incur a 20% washing charge.
- Deliveries and Collections are, where possible, made within a 2 hour time band between the hours of 9.30am-4.30pm. Deliveries and collections outside these hours will incur an additional charge.
- Orders placed for same day delivery - may incur an additional charge.
- Delivery and collection is to the ground floor and is chargeable. Delivery to other parts of a building incur additional charges and MUST be advised prior to delivery as our drivers may not have time on the day to do so unless time has been specifically allocated. Our charges also assume that goods will be repacked ready for collection by the time agreed.
- QUANTITIES: Goods can only be supplied in multiples of the quantities as shown. If for any reason you are unable to check quantities out or back with our staff, it is a condition of supply that in the absence of definitive proof to the contrary, our count at our premises is final as to both quantity and condition. Except for small orders, it would help if you made specific arrangements to cover checking.
- The HIRER is responsible for loss or damage to goods, from the time of delivery or collection, to collection or return.
- Deliveries / Collections assume suitable and adequate parking is available. All parking fines or delays on site due to poor access will be charged.
- The hired equipment is specifically for use and storage indoors. If the equipment is used or stored outside the HIRER is responsible for any damage caused by the weather.
- All shortages, breakages, damage or loss of containers will be charged.
- Goods returned/collected unwashed will be counted after washing and deposit returned by post after the equipment has been checked by authorized staff. Where the deposit is not sufficient to cover the replacement cost the HIRER is liable for the balance.
- Queries on goods delivered must be notified immediately.
- Queries on goods collected by the HIRER must be notified BEFORE leaving the warehouse.
- As goods are at your risk, it is advisable to arrange all risks insurance for in excess of 25 times the value of the order.
- Loss/Damage will be charged at replacement cost. No other goods will be accepted.
- Losses under £5.00 must be paid in cash. Minimum charges accepted by cheques/Visa/Mastercard is £10.00.
- ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT - It is the hirer's responsibility to check that the premises has sufficient power for use with any equipment supplied.
- GAS EQUIPMENT - Delivery is to the Ground Floor only. Please note that despite the Gas Ovens being supplied on wheels, they are extremely bulky and over 500kgs in weight. Should YOU wish to move them, then only a suitable size and capacity goods lift should be used. It is the HIRER'S responsibility to have the gas connected, instructions are given, although we do recommend that a specialist gas fitter is employed for this task.
- No responsibility can be accepted for injury or damage, however caused, by the hire equipment.
- Prices quoted are for one day's hire only.
EXTENDED TERMS OF HIRE
Weekend Hire: Charged as one day's hire
2 - 3 days: 50% extra
4 - 6 days: Double one day's hire
7 - 9 days: Three times one day's hire
10 - 13 days: Four times one day's hire
14 - 20 days: Five times one day's hire
21 - 28 days: Six times one day's hire
- CANCELLATION CHARGES
Any hire order or part thereof cancelled:
24 - 48 hours: 50% of hire charge
less than 24 hours: 100% of hire charge
- We charge £15.00 each time a cheque has to be represented or is dishonoured.
- All accounts outstanding after 45 days will be subject to 2% per month interest.
- All prices are subject to VAT.
- Payment by CREDIT CARD will incur a 3% surcharge. No charge on DEBIT cards.
